Physical Education Curriculum

At the Pre-school level, basic skills are introduced and improved throughout the year:

  • locomotion
  • manipulation
  • stability

Children enjoy physical activity through song and dance on a daily basis and they begin learning the importance of cooperation and fair play. By the end of the program, students will have developed an appreciation for a physically active and healthy lifestyle.

Gymnastics is offerred weekly as part of our Enrichment Program to all afternoon Primary students.  Tumbletrain gymnastics turns our Community Room into a gymnasium and children learn gross motor and group social skills while having fun on the equipment.

Students in gymnastics class walk on balance beam, somersault down wedge, and hop in hoops laid on floor.
